Rolled Alloys is now inventorying RA 253 MA® round bar products in 5/8” through 3-1/2” diameter. RA 253 MA® is considered a lean austenitic heat resistant alloy and obtains its heat resistant properties by advanced control of micro alloy additions. The use of rare earth metals in combination with silicon, provide RA 253 MA with properties superior to many nickel alloys, while maintaining a low nickel content (11%). RA 253 MA® possesses oxidation resistance to 2000F, high creep rupture strength, and resistance to thermal shock as well as good weldability. Applications for RA 253 MA® include thermal oxidizers, kilns, furnace fans, dampers, and recuperators along with a range of others. RA 253 MA® is also available in sheet, plate, pipe and welding products from Rolled Alloys inventory.
