Stockholder and project supplier Arcus, based in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, has acquired the assets of German pipe manufacturer Sosta as of 1 March 2004. With the acquisition Arcus has further improved its capabilities to supply stainless steel piping for projects and maintenance to the oil & gas and processing industry world-wide. Co-operation between Sosta and Arcus have been increasingly successful on projects in recent years and the acquisition is therefore a logical step. Sosta is a manufacturer of welded stainless steel pipes form 6″–80″ in austenitic stainless steels, duplex
stainless steels and nickel alloys. The pipe mill will continue its activities under the same name. The sales activities of the mill will be co-ordinated out of the new Sosta sales department Sosta BV (previously Arcus Projects BV) in the Netherlands.
