In Russia, a new gas and oil company, YukosSibneft, is to be created by the merger of Yukos (71% stake) and Sibneft. The new entity will be the fourth largest private oil company in the world, with output of 2.3 M bbl/day of crude oil. This accounts for 29% of Russia’s crude oil output.
