Welding guide published

ESAB has published a new Manual Metal Arc Welding guide to the company’s range of MMA power sources and remote control units. At one end of the scale are the OrigoArc and CaddyArc portable machines which are suitable for use indoors or outdoors in almost any environment. While the OrigoArc models can be used with electrodes up to 4mm in diameter, the CaddyArc handles electrodes from 1.6 to 3.25mm in diameter, but with the additional benefit of being suitable for use with cellulosic electrodes. Both types of machine can weld alloyed and non-alloyed steel, stainless steel and cast iron. Another feature of the CaddyArc is that it can TIG weld with ESAB’s LiftArc facility. These portable machines have a number of features that make them suitable for professional repair and maintenance welders. All models in this group feature adjustable arc force, and the A4 control panel allows adjustable hot start to be used, as well as a wide choice of electrode types. Carbon arc gouging can also be performed using the models equipped with the A4 panel.
