Weld purge monitor

The Argweld® Weld purge monitor, developed in the 1970’s, has evolved to become the recently launched MKV version. An Argweld® Weld purge monitor will provide welders and quality control personnel with accurate information about the Oxygen content in the vicinity of their weld joints. This allows optimisation of welding conditions, reduces waiting time and avoids weld reject. Each monitor comes supplied in a carry case, with a stainless steel sampling probe, 2m length of rubber hose, a vacuum sampling hand pump and a carrying strap. This Argweld® instrument can be used to continuously monitor the oxygen level, even when welding is taking place, by attaching the exhaust tube from the purge system directly to the monitor. In addition, the metal sampling probe with the hand pump provided, can be used to check the purge gas quality at frequent intervals. This instrument can also be used when welding titanium, duplex steels and stainless steel and can be used in conjunction with HFT’s range of Argweld® Inflatable pipe purging systems. It is also supplied calibrated with an Industry Standards recognised certificate.
