Visa Steel builds melt shop and mill

Visa Steel will construct a steel plant and a power plant in Orissa. The Rs 4025 crore project will include a 1.25 million ton steel plant, a 1 million ton manganese alloy plant, and a 300MW captive power plant in an attempt to meet growing demand. Visa Steel is also constructing a 0.5 million ton special steel bar and wire rod mill, a 0.5 million ton special steel melt shop, and a 25MW power plant. This project will complete its integrated facility for special steel making in Orissa as the company intends to integrate the mining of iron ore, chrome ore and coal. Currently, Visa Steel makes pig iron ferro chrome and sponge iron at an integrated facility at Kalinganagar in Orissa.
