InterCorr International, an international provider of corrosion testing, monitoring and consulting services and software has formed a licensing arrangement with OLI Systems Inc. of Morristown, New Jersey. Under the terms of this agreement, InterCorr will be creating a “Virtual Corrosion Laboratoryâ€? providing sales and support for the OLI Corrosion Analyzer™ software and also offering corrosion consulting services that build on the powerful predictive capabilities of this software to assist corporate clients predict, assess, monitor and mitigate corrosion in their industrial processes. “It’s particularly significant that InterCorr and OLI systems have teamed up,â€? says Dr. Russell Kane, Founder and Vice President of InterCorr and an international corrosion consultant. “We have 20 years of corporate experience in providing “Smartâ€? solutions to industrial corrosion problems to over 850 clients in 31 countries. Likewise, OLI Systems, is the developer and provider of the only predictive thermodynamic modelling tool for calculating physical and chemical properties of multi-phase (oil, gas, water), aqueous-based systems that is predictive over almost any conceivable temperature, pressure and species of interest. The combination provides truly unique capabilities for solving corrosion problems in the industrial sector.â€?
The Corrosion Analyzer is a software tool designed to rapidly assess corrosion in industrial process applications and provide information on corrosion rates and the influence of process upsets, determining life expectancy and schedules for planned replacement of corroded materials and equipment.
