Vietnam: stainless steel plant

Vietnam has given approval to a Taiwan company to build a USD 650 million stainless steel factory in the province of Ba Ria Vung Tau. A provincial investment official says Chien Shing Stainless Steel Co. is investing in the project. The factory will produce 720,000 tonnes of hot and cold-rolled steel per year, with 80% of the output earmarked for export.
