Tyco FloCheck valves

The range of FloCheck non-return valves is especially suited for oil, gas, process and water applications, where reliable non-return protection is critical to the process. The wafer design is compact and substantially lighter than conventional swing check valves, with the result that the whole pipework system is lighter, leading to less costly support structures and lower installation costs. FloCheck is available in both soft and metal seated designs, sizes from 2â€?–48â€?, pressure ratings from ANSI 125 to 2500 and with body materials including cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium bronze and exotic alloys. The operation of FloCheck valves is based on the principle of flow cessation, rather than flow reversal, to ensure smooth, non-slam operation. In “zero flowâ€? condition the plates are held against the seat by springs. As flow begins, the plates are lifted from the seat face and increasing pressure pivots the plates against the spring pressure. Once the plates are lifted there is no scrub or wear on the seat, body or plates. When the flow stops, the spring action returns the plates to the seat, preventing flow reversal. Any subsequent back-pressure only serves to make the valve seal more tightly.
