PJSC “Turboatom” has provided to the representatives of Zaporizhzhya NPP control assemblage with pipes of 6 modules of Casing No 2 and other equipment for a modernized condenser for the turbine of Unit No 3.
During the acceptance process, welding and defect inspection, control assembly of the modules were checked, its geometry and correctness of gaps were checked. In addition, representatives of plant accepted water chambers, covers and walls. Equipment is on packaging and is preparing for shipment.
For Unit No. 3 of Zaporizhzhya NPP, “Turboatom” will manufacture and supply condenser of âblock-moduleâ? design with stainless steel pipe system that will replace a condenser with a copper-nickel alloy pipe system of turbine K-1000-60/1500-2, with a capacity of 1000 MW.
The new condenser will allow the turbine unit to operate at rated capacity with changes in cooling water temperature, increase capacity and extend life-time of the unit.
