Travancore gets Government aid

At a meeting of the State Cabinet on 18 June 2008, the Government of the Indian state of Kerala decided to extend an assistance of Rs 3 crore to the State-owned Travancore Titanium Products Ltd (TTP) to help it tide over the financial crisis it has been facing. TTP, which is engaged in the production of titanium dioxide, has been going through tough days in the wake of a steep increase in the price of sulphur, one of the key raw materials.
