Sulzer acquires GTC Technology US, LLC, a technology company offering proprietary processes and systems for the production of aromatics and other petrochemicals.

Sulzer’s automated welding delivers quality and cost-efficient corrosion protection for distillation columns. The efficient prevention and minimization of corrosion-induced deterioration in distillation columns is a key aspect of helping refineries to remain highly productive and competitive.

The Board of Directors of Sulzer has appointed Greg Poux-Guillaume as Sulzer’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2015.

Sulzer acquired Advanced Separation Company (ASCOM), providers of oil, water and gas separation equipment, and ProLabNL, an independent company with unique capabilities to test equipment in actual oil field conditions.   Sulzer agreed to acquire both the companies located in Arnhem, The Netherlands, on 15 September.

Sulzer has signed an agreement to acquire the privately-owned pump company Hidrotecar S.A. in Burgos, Spain. The acquired company achieved sales of EUR 13 million in 2010 and employs about 50 co-workers.

We sat down with Sulzer Metco's Chad Wagner, Product Line Manager- Wires, at FabTech 2011 to discuss, among other things, the company and its products.
