Ovako to acquire Tibnor Oy

Ovako has signed an agreement with SSAB to acquire steel and metals distributor Tibnor Oy in Finland. The deal has been approved by the European Commission and will now be examined by competition authorities in Finland and Estonia for final approval.

Tata Steel to acquire Nordic service centres

newsitemTata Steel announced the acquisition of three strip products service centres in Sweden, Finland and Norway to strengthen its offering to manufacturers in the Nordic region. Tata Steel in Europe has reached an agreement with steel producer SSAB to buy its strip products service centres at Halmstad in Sweden and Naantali in Finland.

Docol R8 Tubing showcased at PRI

SSAB recently showcased its Docol R8 product at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, the largest show of its type in the world. “This is the fourth year SSAB has participated in PRI, but the first year the company has had enough inventory to address this year’s build season,” said Kim Colvin, regional sales manager, Automotive.
