ArcelorMittal's stainless steel division has published its European prospectus and demerger plan. They have devised a USD 250 million profit enhancement plan for their stainless steel division and renamed the division Aperam.
ThyssenKrupp Nirosta invests in Dillenburg
ThyssenKrupp Nirosta is adding a new skin pass mill, a central unit of its cold rolling facility in Dillenburg. The order has been placed with equipment manufacturer BWG Bergwerk-und Walzwerk-Maschinenbau GmbH and preparatory work on the EUR 18 million mill is underway.

Andritz has received a major order from Baosteel Group to supply an annealing and pickling line for cold rolled stainless steel strip and a skin pass mill for the new stainless steel mill at Shanghai in China.
