Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has won an order from Viraj Profiles Limited to supply an argon oxygen decarburization converter for its plant in Tarapur, Maharashtra. The new converter will allow the company to increase the stainless steel output required for its rolling mills.
Siemens VAI to supply rolling mill for stainless
Siemens VAI Metals Technologies (Siemens) is constructing a new rolling mill for stainless steel bar and light profiles in India for Viraj Profiles Limited (Viraj Profiles). As per the agreement, Siemens will design, engineer and deliver mechanical, electrical and automation equipment. The value of the order is estimated in the double digit million Euro range.
Siemens receives new steel mill contract
Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has received a contract from the Qatar Steel Company for the supply of process technology for a new steel mill in Mesaieed of Qatar. As per the contract, Siemens will supply melting furnaces, a continuous billet caster and a dedusting plant.
Wire rod outlet for new rolling mill
The Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Co Ltd has ordered a wire rod outlet from Siemens VAI Metals Technologies for its first imported rod mill that will produce higher quality steel grade products for the company.

Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has received an order from JSC Electrometallurgical plant Dneprospezstal to supply a new electric arc furnace, complete with water treatment plant for its no 3 steel works.
