Severstal certified to ship rebar to Scandinavia

Severstal received the SFS1268 certificate permitting the Company to make shipments of rebar to Finland and other Baltic countries, where there is high demand for these steel products. To date, Severstal has received certification for 10mm, 12mm and 16mm diameter rebar produced at the Cherepovets steel mill’s mill 250 (part of Severstal’s Russian Steel division).

Severstal finishes Cherepovets improvement program

The Cherepovets Steel Mill, part of the Russian Steel division of Severstal, has completed a maintenance project to upgrade its No1 Converter. This marks the completion of an approx. EUR 59M environmental improvement program that included the installation of equipment to trap fugitive emission from the Mill’s No1, No2 and No3 converters.
