Kanthal announces price increase to its customers
Kanthal announced that it has notified customers globally of a price increase, effective June 7, 2021. The increase is a result of higher costs related to raw material, logistics and personnel and will vary by products and regions in the range of 4% to 10%.
New President of Sandvik Materials Technology
Peter Gossas, President of Sandvik Materials Technology, will retire at the age of 62, leaving the Sandvik Group on 31 May 2011. Jonas Gustavsson, the current President of the Wire and Heating Technology product area within Sandvik Materials Technology, will succeed Gossas as the new President of the business area effective 1 May 2011.
ISO 13399 standard
According to the Sandvik Group, they believe that the new international standard ISO 13399 “Cutting Tool Data Representation and Exchange” will provide an “information highway” into the manufacturing environment, allowing smart decisions to be made, resulting in productive metal cutting.
New Sandvik CFO
As of 1 September 2009 Ola Salmén will take the reins as CFO of Sandvik Group and a member of Group Executive Management.

Due to his excellent work on the First Class Finance Concept in the Sandvik Group, Per Nordberg, Chief Financial Officer of Sandvik, has been awarded Management Events’ prize of “Strategic Economist/CFO of the Year in Sweden”.
