TISCO duplex output set record high for 2010
TISCO achieved a significant increase in duplex steel production for 2010, producing a total development amount of 1000tns. This is an increase by 66% compared to 2009, fully replacing imported products.

Tectubi Raccordi, a subsidiary of Allied Group, has acquired a majority share in Gieminox S.R.L., a consolidated manufacturer of longitudinal welded pipes, fittings and auxiliary components in stainless steel, nickel and nickel alloys, duplex and superduplex.
ThyssenKrupp to deliver stainless for NY landmark
ThyssenKrupp Nirosta will provide stainless steel from Germany for New York's new landmark, the One World Trade Center. The corners of the skyscraper's facade will be edged with stainless steel. ThyssenKrupp produced the material for the landmark using a customized rolling and heat-treatment process
AMEC awarded EPCM contract
AMEC has received an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by mining company Compañía Minera del Pacífico, a subsidiary of Chilean steel and iron ore producer Grupo CAP.
Gamesa, Chinese partners take on wind projects
Gamesa will team up with two Chinese partners to develop two 300MW projects. The first will be in the Jilin Province with Guangdong Nuclear. This wind farm will use wind turbines created by Gamesa’s Jilin factory.
Lucefin acquires KSM
Trafilix SpA has taken over KSM SAMA DE GmbH from Sama Inox Group. Established in 1979, KSM is located in Empfingen, south of Stuttgart in the southern German region of Baden-Württemberg.
