Gamesa, Chinese partners take on wind projects

Gamesa will team up with two Chinese partners to develop two 300MW projects. The first will be in the Jilin Province with Guangdong Nuclear. This wind farm will use wind turbines created by Gamesa’s Jilin factory. The second project will be with Huadian New Energy; they will construct 300MW of wind projects in Inner Mongolia. This wind farm will use wind turbines created by Gamesa’s Inner Mongolia factory. Gamesa currently operates as a wind farm developer in China, giving them a competitive advantage. With this agreement, the company will have cooperation agreements of 2726MW in China. Presently, the company has four manufacturing plants producing blades, generators, and nacelle and gearbox assembly, in the province of Tianjin, and two more underway now in Jilin and Inner Mongolia.
