HMS to supply pumps to China Nuclear Energy

Russian pump manufacturer, HMS Group has been awarded a $22.5M (USD) contract with China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation on behalf of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation to produce and deliver electrically motorized high/low pressure emergency injection pumps, spray water pumps and intermediate cooling water pumps for Jiangsu Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant located in China.

BASF plans SAP plants in Brazil and China

BASF will build a SAP plant in Camacari, Brazil with an annual capacity of 60,000mt. Production is expected to begin in late 2014. In China, BASF-YPC Company Limited, a 50-50 joint venture between BASF and Sinopec, intends to begin construction of a 60,000mt SAP plant at its Verbund site in Nanjing in mid 2012.

One million-ton steel production line in China

Zhangjiagang Pohang Stainless Steel (ZPSS), POSCO`s stainless steel production subsidiary in China, became the first foreign company in China to establish a 1 million-ton steel production line in the country.

Heavy Rare Earths price doubles in two weeks

After an assessment conducted by Industrial Minerals, results have shown that the price of heavy rare earth elements (REE) has more than doubled over the last two weeks.
