HMS to supply pumps to China Nuclear Energy

Russian pump manufacturer, HMS Group has been awarded a $22.5M (USD) contract with China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation on behalf of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation to produce and deliver electrically motorized high/low pressure emergency injection pumps, spray water pumps and intermediate cooling water pumps for Jiangsu Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant located in China.
Launched in 2007, the plant is one of the largest industrial projects between China and Russia, and was listed among the “Key Nuclear Power Projects” in China’s “Ninth Five-Year Plan Program.”
This is the second time HMS has supplied engineered pumps to the plant.
The pump systems have been installed on a number of Russian and overseas power plants, including Rostov, Kursk, Leningrad power stations, Tianwan (China) and Kudankulam (India).
“I’m pleased to say that we continue our steady international expansion in the target overseas markets,” said Artem Molchanov, CEO of HMS Group in a press release. “Winning the international bidding for a direct contract with Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation demonstrates our proven track record and competitiveness in the technologically demanding areas with the strict safety requirements.”
