TÜV Rheinland Group has confirmed that CENTRAVIS met all requirements in the production of duplex steel tubes and has been granted the VdTUV 418 certification. CENTRAVIS, a global supplier of business solutions in the segment of seamless stainless tubes & pipes, has been certified and included on the approved manufacturers list (AML) of Alstom – a global producer of railway transport and power equipment. The French engineering company manufactures railway locomotives, various trains, trams, power equipment, and electrostatic precipitators for industrial production, and is possibly most well-known for its TGV and AGV series of high-speed trains. "While CENTRAVIS is already working with a number of companies in the energy, construction, and oil & gas spheres, our inclusion to Alstom’s purchase system is a very important step for the Company’s promotion in the European market,” says Head of Centravis Strategic Marketing Unit, Peter Gorban.

In order to improve performance of the existing heat exchanger tubes, CENTRAVIS has developed a novel technology of double quenching of the material (02Ð¥22Ð?5Ð?М3, a Russian analogue to duplex 1.4462/UNS S31803), and in 2014 initiated five-months long corrosion testing, which has proven that the material has superior performance against all types of corrosion, as well as excellent mechanical properties. Heat exchanger tubes of this duplex steel manufactured by CENTRAVIS allows customers to decrease both direct (regular replacement of the tubes) and indirect (repairs and idle times affecting productivity) costs due to significantly higher corrosion resistance of the material of up to 2.8 to 2.9 times.

Centravis has successfully accomplished the NORSOK M-650 certification process and obtained approval on behalf of TUV NORD.

NORSOK certification will strengthen the company’s presence in supply of seamless stainless steel tubes and pipes for petroleum industry to Scandinavian countries and Great Britain.

Petrobras has approved Ukrainian seamless stainless steel tube producer Centravis as a supplier of seamless stainless steel tubes and pipes.
