Tangguh LNG Project FEED contract for KBR

newsitemKBR announced that its partnership with PT Rekayasa Industri, JGC Corporation and PT JGC Indonesia, the RJK JV, has been awarded the onshore front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by BP for a third liquefaction train at the Tangguh LNG Project in West Papua province, Indonesia.The expansion project follows the successful completion of the two-train Tangguh LNG plant in 2009 and associated facilities by a joint venture partnership between JGC Corporation, KBR and PT Pertafenikki Engineering (KJP JV).

Sino Gas appoints new CEO

Sino Gas & Energy Holdings appointed Glenn Corrie as the CEO. Sino Gas also announced the upcoming succession of current Non-Executive Director Philip Bainbridge to the role of non-executive chairman effective September 2014, when the current Chairman, Gavin Harper, will transition to a non-executive director role.

BP to operate Khazzan field, Oman

The Government of the Sultanate of Oman and BP signed a gas sales agreement and an amended production-sharing agreement for the development of the Khazzan field with BP as operator.

The full field development will involve a drilling programme of around 300 wells over a period of 15 years to deliver plateau production of 1B ft3 of gas per day and 25,000 barrels per day of gas condensate.

Jacobs to provide PM, engineering services to BP

BP Exploration Operating Company contracted Jacobs Engineering Group to support its intervention project at the Sullom Voe Terminal, Shetland Island, Scotland. BP officials estimate the total installed cost for the project to be up to USD 200M over four years.

Helix announces BP contract for Q5000

newsitemHelix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. announced that it has entered into a five-year contract with BP to provide well intervention services to BP in the US Gulf of Mexico with Helix’s deepwater well intervention semisubmersible vessel, the Q5000, currently being constructed in Singapore.

Aberdeen Harbour Board has announced that BP has agreed to extend its presence at the port for a further 10 years.

BP begins production on Skarv Field, Norway

BP and partners announced the successful start of production from the Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea, one of a series of new major upstream projects that BP brought into production in 2012. Production started on 31 December 2012.

BP to Sell Central North Sea Assets to TAQA

BP has announced that it has agreed to sell its interests in a number of central North Sea oil and gas fields to TAQA for $1.058 billion. The assets included in the sale are BP’s interests in the BP-operated Maclure, Harding and Devenick fields and non-operated interests in the Brae complex of fields and the Braemar field.

Major Milestone on Kinnoull Project

newsitemBP has completed a major milestone on its Kinnoull project in the UK’s central North Sea. The new 700-ton processing unit for the Kinnoull and Andrew Lower Cretaceous reservoirs was successfully installed on to BP’s Andrew platform on October 14, 2012.
