Helge Lund appointed as BP chairman

BP announced that it has appointed Helge Lund to succeed Carl-Henric Svanberg as chairman of BP. Mr Lund will join the BP Board as chairman designate and a non-executive director on 1 September 2018.

BG Group ships first LNG from QCLNG Train 2

BG Group has started up and loaded its first LNG from the second production train at the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) facility in Australia. The first LNG from Train 2 set sail on the Maran Gas Posidonia.

KBR is BG Group’s Global Upstream Alliance Partner

KBR has been selected by the BG Group as their Global Upstream Alliance Partner. The six-year contract includes an option for two two-year extensions, and provides capability support services (Pre-FEED and FEED) and project management services across all of BG Group’s Global Upstream Portfolio.

DoC for the Iara area, offshore Brazil

BG Group's partner Petróleo Brasileiro (Petrobras), as the operator of block BM-S-11 in the pre-salt Santos Basin, has submitted the Declarations of Commerciality (DoC) to the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) for three separate oil and gas accumulations in the Iara area, offshore Brazil.

BG Group agrees to sell QCLNG Pipeline for USD 5B

BG Group announced that it has agreed to sell its wholly owned subsidiary QCLNG Pipeline to APA Group, Australian gas infrastructure business, for approximately USD 5.0B.QCLNG Pipeline owns a 543km large-diameter underground pipeline network linking BG Group's natural gas fields in southern Queensland to a two-train liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility at Gladstone on Australia's east coast.

QGC & Japan sign 21-year LNG deal

Queensland Gas Co. (QGC) announced on 13 May 2011 that its parent, BG Group, has secured a contract to supply Japan with liquefied natural gas (LNG) for 21 years. The BG Group has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Chubu Electric Power for the long-term supply of LNG. Under the agreement, Chubu Electric will buy up to 122 cargoes over 21 years, starting in 2014. The LNG will be supplied from BG Group's global LNG portfolio, including the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Project under development by BG Group's wholly owned Australian subsidiary, QGC

WorleyParsons wins LNG contract
