AMEC awarded Slovakian contract
AMEC has been awarded a three year contract to provide waste treatment services to the Bohunice nuclear power plant in Slovakia.
The contract, the value of which has not been announced, will see AMEC apply its specialist technology to retrieve and treat the 600cbm of waste at the two Vodo-Vodyanoi Energetichesky Reactor 440 reactors at the plant, which ceased operation in 2008 and 2010, respectively. AMEC has received an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by mining company Compañía Minera del Pacífico, a subsidiary of Chilean steel and iron ore producer Grupo CAP.
Turkish Black Sea gas project
AMEC, the international project management and services company, has announced that Houston-based subsidiary AMEC Paragon has been selected by the Turkish national oil company, Turkiye Petrolleri A.O. (TPAO), to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) for a natural gas drilling and wellhead platform in the Western Black Sea near Akçakoca, Turkey.
