Wales: AMEC selected by water company

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has selected AMEC as preferred partner for civil engineering services in SE Wales as part of a long-term asset investment programme. The contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, will run for 10 years from April 2005 and be subject to a five year performance review. AMEC has worked with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water in SE Wales for the last seven years on water and sewerage assets. Further detailed negotiations will now begin between the two companies and a contract is expected to be signed in the autumn.
