A Canadian subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group has received a major portion of the upcoming 2003 turnaround contract at Suncor Energy Inc.’s oil sands facility near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. The contract value was not disclosed. The project requires an outage beginning in the spring of 2003. Prior to the outage, Jacobs will provide intensive pre-planning and pre-fabrication to accomplish proposed rehabilitation activities in plants 5, 8, and 25 before restoring upgrading production.
