Structural bonding

Sealant Equipment & Engineering has designed its Program-A-Bead® 692 servo driven meter/mix/dispense system for the high volume, automated application of high-viscosity, two-component structural adhesives. This stainless steel system is engineered to apply the adhesive with precision as a continuous bead or as a stitch – a short bead of material. Powered by a servo drive that allows variable dispense rates, the 692 ensures precise flow rate control and consistent bead size, regardless of the profile of the bead path. Program-A-Bead 692 derives its precision and control from its servo drive assembly and its positive displacement meter, which electronically controls the flow rate of the mixed material through all facets of the dispense process. The XYZ table or robot controller can “order” the 692 to dispense at a flow rate that conforms to the bead path – faster on straight-aways, slower on corners. This control ensures that the bead dispensed will have the same profile throughout the bead path. The control components interface with the robot or line controller using standard control protocol.
