Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) has awarded a turnkey contract to Snamprogetti SPA’s British subsidiary Snamprogetti Ltd to build two new units at Aramco’s Yanbu refinery in Saudi Arabia. Snamprogetti will provide engineering design, procurement, and construction of a 40,000 b/d continuous catalyst regeneration (CCR) unit and a 15,000 b/d light straight-run naphtha isomerization unit to enhance the production of unleaded gasoline at the refinery.
The work is scheduled for completion by 2005.
