Stelco Inc. will install a CAPS V5 Suite software package at its Hilton Works batch annealing operation in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The software, developed and supplied by Entec Systems Intl. aims to improve quality, reduce operating cost, and increase throughput for the 36 four-stack bases. Entec says Stelco has bought the Heating Model, Cooling Model, Cleanliness Model, and Stacking Model, which can be installed with no modification to the hardware. Cleveland-based Entec is a member of the Rad-Con Group.
