Stalatube is expanding its product range to include stainless flat bars. The new flat bar products will complement the current stainless steel structural tube product range. The flat bar manufacturing will require additional investment that will be implemented during Q4 2009. The flat bar range of products was launched to customers at this year’s international Stainless Steel World trade fair in Maastricht, 10 – 12 November. Sales will begin in January 2010. The additional investment in flat bar production expands Stalatube’s recent USD 7 million investment into a new slitting line and it utilizes the increased cutting capacity. Investment will be done to the Lahti plant, alongside current production facilities.
