Stainless steel production decreases by 9.4% in 2020

The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first half-year of 2020 showing that stainless steel melt shop production decreased by 9.4% year-on-year to 23.7 million metric tons. 
In Europe, the USA, and China, production decreased by 16.3%, 20.3% and 2.7% respectively. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered a decrease of 23.9% and 8.4% in steel production.
