The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2020 showing that stainless steel melt shop production decreased by 7.8% yearonyear to 36.7 million metric tons.
In Europe, USA, and China production decreased by 13.1%, 22%, and 2.4% respectively. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered a decrease of 21.8% and 3.1% in steel production.
