Stainless steel production 29.0 MMT in 2022

The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first half year of 2022 showing that stainless steel melt shop production decreased by 3.5% year-on-year to 29.0 million metric tons. In Europe and the US, production decreased by 5.2%, and 14.7% respectively. China registered a decreased growth of 5.3%. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered a increase of 3.1% and 3.3% in steel production.
