Stainless Steel Advisory Service relocates

Following the creation of IOM³ the Institute of Materials has relocated its Sheffield office to Doncaster, UK. The BSSA Council has therefore taken the decision to relocate the Stainless Steel Advisory Service to the BSSA Office. As Duncan Munro explains: “When we started the Stainless Steel Advisory Service in January 2000, the BSSA had no full-time director or office of its own. We therefore decided to sub-contract the service for an initial three-year period. In view of the changes in IOM, we believe the time has come to incorporate the service fully into the BSSA. This will enable us to continue the process of developing our technical and market services for current and potential users of stainless steel in a fully integrated way. We would like to thank IOM for their excellent service and support over the past three years and to wish the Institute every success in its new, enhanced role.â€? From 25 July the Stainless Steel Advisory Service contact details are: Light Trades House, 3, Melbourne Avenue, Sheffield S10 2QJ, UK. Tel. +44 114 290 0887; fax: +44 114 290 0897; e-mail: ssas@bssa.org.uk
