Stainless service centre

Scouting for setting up a 0.25 million tonne cold rolling plant, Outokumpu has changed its plans and decided to set up a steel service and processing centre first. Outokumpu has finalized plans to set up the facility near Mumbai to provide customized steel products. Mr Yatinder Suri Country Head of Outokumpu India said that “We are in talks with the Maharashtra State Industrial Development Corp. and a plot of 20 acres has also been identified.” Mr Suri added that “The project will involve an investment of around INR 200 crore over the next 15 months to 18 months and the service centre will have a capacity of processing 50,000tns of steel annually.”
