Stainless in drinking water

On 19 November 2003 an international seminar on stainless steel in the water industry will take place in Brussels. It is organised by Euro Inox, the European development association for stainless steel, with support from the Committee on the Study of Pipe Corrosion and Protection, CEOCOR, and the German organisation of corrosion engineers, GFKorr. Bringing together European and other international experts, is will focus on the economics and technical properties of stainless steels in water-related applications. The papers will address the processing, storage, and distribution of drinking water. Novel plumbing techniques and their large-scale industrial application will also be discussed. A presentation of innovative repair techniques for underground pipe work will round off the spectrum of topics. The papers will also evaluate the available solutions in the light of current and future European regulations.
