Stainless desktop PC enclosure

Recent guidelines on food traceability have increased the pressure on manufacturers to beef up quality management systems even further and may lead to an increase in computers required on the shop floor. One customer has already told Armagard that computerisation has been brought forward by six months for just this reason. Needless to say, the integrity of these systems will be paramount. With data collection and management of critical importance, computer downtime at the wrong time could be damaging – it could force companies to delay operations until the system is repaired or replaced. As an alternative to expensive industrial computers, Armagard’s Stainless Desktop PC Enclosure enables standard office PCs to be used even in heavy washdown areas. Manufactured from food grade stainless steel and independently-approved to IP66 standard (high pressure hosedown) this enclosure is used by over 250 UK food and drink manufacturers. Operator control is provided by an integral membrane keyboard and pointing device. It gives you the affordability, reliability and performance of commercial grade PCs without jeopardising system integrity. Designed to protect against all common shopfloor hazards, the enclosure is provided with surge protection, dust and water seals, an internal recirculating fan, door locks and a shatter-resistant polycarbonate window. Cable entry is via watertight glands.
