Finland-based stainless steel producer Outokumpu has announced that demand for stainless steel remains strong with its mills running at full load and order backlogs still firm. The company said demand for stainless steel remained strong even through Q3, which encompasses the European holiday period. Outokumpu said it is currently selling for deliveries in February of next year and achieving small base price increases for both January and February even from already historically high levels.
