Sinopec Jiangsu Oil Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has recently launched a large-scale automatic welding equipment demonstration in Shaobo, YangZhou, Jiangsu Province, China.
Sinopec Petroleum Engineering Construction Company (SPECC) and its subsidiary Jiangsu Oil Construction Company presented advanced welding technology capabilities in a demonstration session – “Competition on the same stage”. During the session, Serimax equipment demonstrated its advanced automatic welding without copper backing by Saturnax-08, targeting on small pipe ID, mountain terrain welding with a huge proven track record. All the participants agreed that Saturnax with STT function has outstanding advantage for onshore hill pipe laying in terms of productivity, quality and cost-effectiveness, its ability to achieve welding technology advancement, and agreed to promote for more applications.
The welding results by Serimax automatic welding without copper backing gives excellent clean weld with much-reduced welding smoke and dust. This can be used very efficiently to meet desired welding quality & productivity for various corrosion-resistant alloys (CRA), Cladded pipes, Duplex, SuperDuplex, Stainless steels, heat-resistant steels, high-alloy steel, and electroplated steels, etc.
