Singapore Polyolefin expansion

Singapore’s Polyolefin Co. is set to boost its total polypropylene capacity at Pulau Ayer Merbau by 20,000 mtpy to 335,000mtpy by late August, a company source has said. The expansion is meant to complement a corresponding rise in the propylene capacity of its supplier Petrochemical Corp. of Singapore. PCS plans to boost by 70% the ethylene and propylene capacities of its second naphtha cracker in July and August, from 515,000mt and 257,000mt yearly respectively.
