Silver-edged fittings

The 20th of May marks the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of Tecninox Srl, manufacturer of butt weld fittings in stainless steel, duplex, superduplex and special alloys. Since its foundation in 1988, Tecninox has come a long way in reaching and surpassing the objectives that it originally set out to achieve. Raccortubi established its sister company with the intention of becoming manufacturer as well as stockist. It recognised that, by incorporating the Tecninox production, it could be of added value to its clients thanks to a new-found ability to supply the critical fittings element of a package quickly, on demand and to customer specifications. Over the course of the years, Raccortubi and Tecninox have worked together for the continuous improvement of productive processes.

At the end of 2011, as a result of the development of its heat treatment procedure, incorporating the application of an extra thermocouple at the very centre of the batch, Tecninox became the first seamless butt weld fittings manufacturer in the world to be awarded NORSOK M-650 Ed. 4 approval. The two companies are inextricably linked, as via the automation of processes, use of advanced technology and evolution of quality assurance at Tecninox, Raccortubi is able to better serve its clientele. 25 years on from its foundation, Raccortubi Group continues to strive for the constant development of productive processes and enhanced quality at Tecninox. The celebration coincides with the selection of Tecninox’s Quality Manager, Mr Sergio Borile, as advisor to the NORSOK Standard Revision Committee.
