Siderca partners with Dow Chemical

Siderca has taken a supporting role in a Dow Chemical Argentina modernisation project as a provider of “integrated packages,â€? a business concept that, in addition to seamless and welded tubes, involved the integrated supply of bridles, fittings and accessories in a programmed manner. The project, which culminated with the inauguration on 1 June of two new plants in Dow’s PBB Polisur complex in Bahia Blanca, was part of a comprehensive USD 720 million modernisation plan. In the last four years, Dow has invested USD 720 million to execute its growth plan in two stages. In the first, the company expanded and modernised its existing production apparatus, while the second consisted of the construction and start-up of two new plants. To carry out the project, Dow relied on Siderca for the provision of integrated packages of tubes, which included, seamless and welded, coated and uncoated tubes in diameters from one-half to 60 inches and in carbon, stainless and alloy steels, along with aluminium. The agreement between Dow and Siderca also included the supply of non-ferrous materials.
