Sandvik Mining signs major project orders

Sandvik Mining has signed three major materials handling contracts with customers in Latin America and Australia. Combined, the value of the contracts exceeds MSEK 1600 and will be executed and contribute to Sandvik Mining’s business during the years 2012 until 2014.
The contract includes the design and supply of continuous mining equipment for a fully truckless In-Pit Crushing and Conveying (IPCC) system and two waste lines for a surface mine in Latin America. For Australia the order includes design, supply and installation of materials handling equipment for iron ore stacking and reclaiming for a surface mine.
“The importance, size and complexity of the systems and the impressive performance data demonstrate Sandvik Mining’s capability to provide high-tech solutions in the area of continuous mining and materials handling systems for surface mining applications”, says Gary Hughes, President of the Sandvik Mining business area.
