RTI reorganization

RTI has announced that it has reorganized its operations by splitting apart its fabrication and distribution group. RTI will now have three operating groups, each reporting to Michael Wellham, RTI president and chief operating officer. David Hall, 46, the former head of European distribution, has been named group vice president for distribution. Karl Weiss, 55, the former vice president for the fabrication and distribution group, has been named group vice president for fabrication. Lou Bartlo Jr., 49, the former general manager of manufacturing, was named group vice president for titanium. Richard Dean, 51, who had been the site director for a titanium dioxide plant, has been named as vice president of raw materials. He will oversee the company’s new plant in Hamilton, Mississippi, USA, which will produce titanium sponge. RTI is also building two new plants in Mississippi and Virginia that will also be part of the titanium group.
