RTI gains new quality standards

In September 2003, RTI International Metals Ltd (Tamworth, UK) was awarded the AS9100A:2001 (equivalent to EN 9100A) approval to complement its existing BS EN9001:2000 standard. The quality management system is applicable to stockholding and subcontract machining of metallic materials, semi-finished forms which can when requested by the customer be supplied with source lot traceability from approved sources, primarily for the aerospace industry, with similar capability for other industries. In achieving these proposals RTI believes it can meet existing and future customer quality system requirements, particularly those directives required by the world’s major aerospace manufacturers.
