Stainless and nickel welding wire manufacturers Rigby Maryland (Stainless) Ltd and welding consumables specialists Metrode Products Ltd have announced an exclusive marketing agreement for the supply of RIMA branded solid welding wires. From 1 June 2001, all RIMA welding wires are to begin integration into the Metrode Products portfolio, complementing Metrode’s own manual metal arc electrodes and flux cored wires, and creating a complete, competitive and quality arc welding consumables package under one brand. From 16 July all Rigby Maryland distributors and fabricator customers will begin supplies direct from Metrode, with immediate access to Metrode’s strong technical expertise, established UK and international sales network, extensive warehousing facility and rapid delivery schedules. In conjunction with the current expansion of Rigby Maryland’s manufacturing facilities at Liversedge, this collaborative arrangement will enable Rigby Maryland to focus resources on manufacturing and research and development of existing quality welding wires, whilst benefitting from Metrode’s industry awareness in the development of new products to meet market requirements world-wide.
