PurgEye® 100 by HFT

Weld Purge Monitors® are an essential instrument to help obtain non-oxidised, zero colour welds by monitoring the oxygen content, ideal when purging with inert gas, when welding metals such as stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloy where a high quality weld is required.

Advancing in the science of manufacturing beyond other designs, Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT®’s market leading PurgEye® 100 helps to eliminate the post weld cleaning costs. Michaela Reay, Marketing Associate for HFT® said: “The PurgEye® 100 is our low cost, IP65 rated, hand held unit, which reads from atmospheric level (20.94%) down to 100 parts per million (ppm). The PurgEye® 100 replaces our previous, out of date MKV monitor, which some companies are still using today.”

The PurgEye® 100 has a clear, easy to read LCD screen, offering a 24 mm high display, which is approximately a 41% larger display than used previously. The company now has a Family of PurgEye® Weld Purge Monitors® to measure oxygen levels from atmospheric content (20.94%) down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm). HFT® now offers a Weld Purge Monitor® exchange replacement scheme, so that companies can upgrade old, out of date models for the PurgEye® 100 IP65.
