Peddinghaus Corporation has agreed a long-term strategic partnership with Kaltenbach.Solutions GmbH and will equip all products sold with its digital solution as standard from fall 2022. This will enable Peddinghaus Corporation to offer customers full transparency on work processes, malfunctions, upcoming maintenance and energy consumption of the machines. Together, the companies are striving for a more responsible use of valuable resources in steel processing.
Peddinghaus produces drilling rigs, plate lines, angle punching, flame cutting, band saws or shot blasting machines for steel construction in the North American market. Starting this fall, every machine sold will be equipped with Kaltenbach.Solutions’ digital measuring devices and services. When used in the company’s own production, the uncomplicated applicability was convincing, because existing machines from all manufacturers can be connected during operation without IT expertise. As a result, work processes, malfunctions, upcoming maintenance and energy consumption can be seen at a glance. Measured data is clearly displayed on the smartphone or tablet and made available as files. On this basis, very good decisions can be made to control steel processing more efficiently and sustainably.
