Outotec, a Finland based plantmaker, has won a contract from China based Mintal Group Co. (Mintal), a large manufacturer of ferrochrome and stainless steel. The contract is for the design and delivery of a new ferrochrome plant and marks Outotec’s first delivery of its energy efficient ferrochrome plant to China. Upon completion, the facility will have an annual capacity of 300,000mt of ferrochrome and is scheduled to be launched in 2013.
